A live piano workshop where you learn to sing "Furusato" — a song every Japanese person grows up with.
No experience needed. No Japanese needed, to start.
The Experience
In just 60 minutes, you'll learn the story behind one of Japan's most beloved songs — and sing it together, live, to real piano accompaniment. No experience needed. No Japanese needed, to start.
Why Furusato
Almost every person in Japan learns this song as a child. It's about the seasons, missing home, and the people you love — the quiet feelings that don't always translate into words.
When we explain what the lyrics mean, something changes in the room. That moment — right before everyone sings — is the whole reason this workshop exists.

About Your Host
Pianist · Bilingual Host · Voice Coach
I'm Yuko — a pianist, bilingual host, and voice coach. I spend my time connecting people through music and language.
Music crosses borders in a way words sometimes can't.
My hope is that you leave with more than a photo — a small piece of Japan you can carry home, and maybe even sing to someone you love.
Good to Know
Do I need to speak Japanese?
